Finale in Frankfurt am Main

After 18 days and 4'500km around Europe, one warm spring afternoon we arrived in Frankfurt am Main, our last major station of this trip. The city is famous for being Germany's financial centre. The Frankfurt Stock Exchange is located here, as well as the European Central Bank (ECB) which looks after the Euro. Although the monetary policy of the EU has caused some controversial issues, the common currency has a number of advantages, both for business and the common man. During our trip we travelled through 9 countries. It was very convinient for us that 6 of them used the same currency.

I hope Tsveti and her brother Sergey remained satisfied with our spring journey around Europe. Our continent is full of wonderful places and people. It is full of countless opportunities for new experiences and friendships. We realised this on many occasions. My wish for the future is that the borders between us will get fewer and people will see fewer reasons for division.

So, until the next journey! Hopefully a journey around the world :-)
